Seller's Notes

This 1957 Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud I is an elegant luxury saloon, finished in a tasteful colour scheme. Power comes from a 155hp 4.9-litre IOE straight-six, driving the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission. It was maintained by marque specialists including P&A Wood and D.W. Haynes prior to being imported to Australia from the UK, and has recently been serviced by Elden Autobahn. The odometer shows 60,689 miles, though this is not warranted. Build year: 1957 This example is finished in a period-correct two-tone white over green colour scheme, with elegant chrome trim elements, over a cream leather-trimmed interior offset by extensive burr walnut inlays. It rides on 15-inch OEM steel wheels with black, chrome and red hubcaps, wrapped in Avon tyres. Equipment includes hydraulic servo-assisted drum brakes with twin brake master cylinders, independent front suspension coils, semi-elliptical rear springs, a three-spoke steering wheel, push-out front quarter light windows, Smiths dials, heating and ventilation controls, rear picnic tables and an updated Pioneer stereo. Accompanying the vehicle will be a workshop manual, a collection of invoices and its British registration documents. One ignition key will be supplied. Please refer to the photo gallery to assess the exterior and interior condition. The most recent technical inspection was completed in November 2024. The most recent service was completed by Elden’s Autobahn in November 2024 at 60,650 miles, which included engine oil and oil filter changes, a brake bleed, and repair of a broken generator connection. On the invoice, technicians noted that they were unable to bleed the front-left wheel cylinder due to a seized bleed nipple. A new cylinder will be required, though it was recommended that all four be replaced. This Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud I is a rare and elegant luxury saloon, which was maintained by marque specialists including P&A Wood and D.W. Haynes prior to being imported to Australia from the UK. Recently serviced in November 2024, it is sure to delight as a graceful companion for special occasions or stately weekend drives, and would make a fine addition to any collection of classics. Furthermore, photographs may not reflect the true colour or full condition of the vehicle. It is a bidder’s responsibility to satisfy themselves of the colour and condition of a vehicle, including its interior and the existence of any remedial bodywork or paintwork, before committing to bid or buy. This includes by raising enquiries with the seller in the comments section.
