Seller's Notes

This Morris Mini 850 is a solid example of the early model, featuring a larger engine, various modifications, and reported to be in very good mechanical condition. It is now powered by a 998cc Weber carburettor-fed inline-four from a Mini Deluxe, sending around 41kW to the front wheels via a four-speed manual gearbox. The odometer is currently stuck on a reading of 10,999 km, and the true mileage is not known. This Morris Mini is finished in Nurburg White, with the interior featuring black vinyl-trimmed bucket front seats, a half roll cage, and a wood-rimmed three-spoke Momo steering wheel. It rides on 10-inch Performance alloy wheels, shod in Yokohama Advan-032R tyres. Inside also features an aluminium gear selector, a fire extinguisher, and a modern Pioneer CD radio head unit with Bluetooth, USB and auxiliary connectivity. Alongside the larger 998cc engine, this example features a Mini Cooper S disc brake conversion, and Hi-Lo adjustable suspension. It comes with a workshop manual, some books, and a selection of maintenance receipts. Please refer to the photo gallery to assess the exterior and interior condition. Specific notes from the seller include: there are touch-ups on the paintwork evident in some spots of the car, but overall it is in good condition. Inside, there is general wear on the floor carpets, and wear on the dashboard trim. The seller notes that there is a slight leak from the brake bottle cap, but is otherwise not aware of any electrical or mechanical faults with the vehicle. The latest service was carried out by Mini Works Narellan. The work comprised of an engine oil and filter change, along with the replacement of the brake fluid, coolant, and spark plugs, as well as a suspension and brake check. Prior to this, the car was serviced by its previous owner with work including a carburettor tune, general servicing, a new fuel pressure regulator, and a door hinge restoration. The seller notes that during ownership the driving lights and rear brake light were added, the tail light lenses were replaced with the correct Mini parts, and the front seats, steering wheel and gear selector were all replaced with the items pictured in the car. This well-preserved and discerningly modified Morris Mini is a wonderfully usable example of the early model. It now features a more powerful engine fed by a Weber carburettor, as well as a more driver-focussed interior and a disc brake conversion for enhanced stopping power. The seller notes the car turns heads and is highly enjoyable to drive, and it is ready to delight its next owner. The description of this consignment is, to the best of the seller’s knowledge, accurate and not misleading.
