Seller's Notes

This 1967 Chevrolet Camaro RS/SS features a modified 588ci Dart Big M big-block V8, a strengthened TH400 transmission and upgraded suspension and driveline components. The naturally aspirated 9.6 litre engine was built by Engine Craft in 2024 and is reported by the seller to produce approximately 645 kW (865 hp). Drive reaches the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission fitted with a full-manual valve body. The odometer currently shows 22,549 miles* TMU. Introduced for the 1967 model year, the Camaro marked Chevrolet’s entry into the pony-car market. The Rally Sport appearance package featured concealed headlights and distinctive exterior detailing, while the Super Sport package added performance equipment. Both packages could be specified together, creating the RS/SS combination. Finished in red with a contrasting black nose stripe, this example features concealed headlights, chrome bumpers, a front spoiler and a four-inch raised steel cowl bonnet. It rides on 15-inch Center Line wheels, with 275/60 R15 Mickey Thompson rear tyres. The red-and-black interior incorporates a TCI Outlaw shifter and a five-inch AutoMeter tachometer with a shift light. Additional gauges are installed beneath the rear opening of the raised bonnet, facing the driver. The engine build comprises a Dart Big M block, Callies Magnum crankshaft, JE pistons, fully ported AFR 345 aluminium cylinder heads and a custom solid-roller camshaft. An APD 1050 Dominator carburettor is supplied by an A1000 electric fuel pump through upgraded fuel lines with a return system. Cooling is provided by a custom brass radiator and twin electric fans, while ceramic-coated extractors feed a three-inch exhaust. Power steering is fitted, and the seller advises that air-conditioning equipment is installed. The Pro Trans TH400 transmission features a conventional shift pattern, full-manual valve body and an A1 ten-inch torque converter with a reported 4,500 rpm stall speed. The nine-inch differential was strengthened by Speedy’s Diffs and incorporates a Detroit Locker, 31-spline Moser axles and a reported 3.77:1 ratio. Suspension upgrades comprise Viking adjustable front coilovers and a Calvert rear arrangement with mono-leaf springs, CalTracs traction bars and nine-way adjustable shock absorbers. Owned by the current seller since 2018, the seller reports that the gearbox and differential were strengthened in 2019, followed by the engine build in 2024. Servicing has been undertaken by the owner and a friend specialising in Chevrolet mechanical work. Earlier ownership history is unknown. The seller advises that the vehicle has been engineered in New South Wales with its current modifications in place. The paintwork and interior are described by the seller as being in very good condition, with a straight body and no rust reported. All gauges are said to operate correctly, and no current faults are disclosed. The seller reports no accidents or resprays during their ownership. Spare keys are included with the sale. As per Trading Garage Terms and Conditions, although Trading Garage has completed the following checks bidders must satisfy themselves to the accuracy of the description and do any research they feel necessary before bidding. All listings are sold in Australian dollars. This vehicle is registered in New South Wales under modified club registration until 8 February 2027. The supplied PPSR search dated 29 October 2026 records no security interests against the chassis number and does not record the vehicle as written off or stolen.
