Seller's Notes

This Pontiac Firebird is an imposing example of the popular American muscle car, benefitting from an extensive rebuild and featuring a number of cosmetic and performance upgrades. It is powered by a replacement Butler Performance 7.52-litre (463 ci) V8, which sends power to the rear wheels via a Tremec six-speed manual gearbox. The car has been with its current owner for two years, and its odometer shows 55,158 kms, though this is not warranted. This Firebird is now finished in black paintwork with silver stripes on its boot lid and a silver-painted rear panel, over a black leatherette-trimmed interior, featuring with white contrast stitching on the front bucket seats. It rides on a set of 17-inch B/G Rod Works alloy wheels, shod in Nexen N3000 tyres on the rear axle and Pirelli Cinturato tyres on the front axle. Performance modifications include the Butler Performance engine and Tremec gearbox, plus adjustable suspension, and disc brakes on all four wheels. The car has also been fitted with a substantial bonnet scoop that has integrated voltmeter and pressure gauges, as well as aftermarket front bucket seats, a non-standard steering wheel, variable-ratio power steering, push-button start, additional Pro-Comp instrument dials showing water temperature, oil pressure and fuel level, an Autometer speedometer, and a rev counter. Entertainment is provided by a Bluetooth Android audio system linked to a Zapco amplifier. A full list of modifications can be seen in the image gallery. The vehicle will be supplied with the handbooks for its replacement radio and a remote control, the locking wheel nut key, and some differential gaskets. The black paintwork is described by the seller as being in very good condition overall, having been stripped and repainted. There is, however, some light hazing to the finish in places, as well as small blemishes that are shown in the photo gallery. There some chips and small marks above the front grille, on the front valance, and along the rear spoiler. Inside, the cabin presents in good order having been partially retrimmed. The replacement seats show no significant wear, while the rear seats have an appealing ‘patina’. The original controls show some general wear, but overall the interior is in good order. The seller notes that the car is now equipped with a reversing camera, LED reversing lights and a modern radio system, but these items are all not currently connected. The seller is not aware of any electrical or mechanical faults, and they state that there are no warning lights showing on the dashboard. The most recent inspection of roadworthiness was in November 2019 during which the seller reports that no warnings or advisory items were noted. The latest service comprised of an engine oil and filter change, along with the replacement of the gearbox and differential oils. The seller notes that an electric fan controller has been fitted during their ownership. This Pontiac Firebird is an imposing American muscle car, with an upgraded 7.5-litre Butler Performance V8 engine. Having been the subject of a recent refurbishment around two-and-a-half years ago, it would no doubt make an exciting and attention-grabbing weekend cruiser, or a crowd-pleasing car show companion.
