Seller's Notes

A classic Italian saloon car with a sporting edge, in largely original condition. Under the bonnet is the 1.6-litre four-cylinder engine that produces approximately 100bhp and sends power to the rear wheels via a five-speed manual transmission. First registered in 1970, this S (‘Special’) variant features factory upgrades for increased horsepower, handling, and interior comfort. This 125S is finished in its original Light Blue paint over a Black leather interior with wood trim. Its extra 10bhp, five-speed transmission and handling improvements over the base model saw it claim second and third in Class C during the 1969 Hardie-Ferodo 500 at the famous Mount Panorama circuit – the closest any vehicle came to ending Mini’s class-winning reign. This example features the optional Cromodora magnesium wheels, fitted with modern Falken tyres. The vehicle has been fitted with an aftermarket MP3/USB head unit and new speakers in the parcel shelf, as well as a wood rim Momo steering wheel. The vehicle is supplied with its handbook, original tool kit, and several spare parts. There is no known body damage. The Light Blue paintwork remains in very good condition for its age. The brightwork, badges and lights are all present and correct. Inside, the Black leather is in great shape, with no obvious marks or damage to the seats, front or back. The dash, door cards and wood trims are all in generally excellent condition. There are no known mechanical or electrical faults. The most recent roadworthy inspection was performed on 19 March 2021, with no warnings or advisories being issued. The most recent maintenance was carried out on 31 October 2021, with a full service performed by Annandale Auto. Prior to this, on 22 March 2021, another scheduled service was also performed by Annandale Auto. This Fiat 125S is a well-preserved example of the classic Italian sports saloon; a model that has genuine Australian motorsport pedigree. It is offered for sale in highly original condition, with all the ‘S’ model upgrades and in very impressive order for its age. Recently serviced and ready to go; it would make a fun weekend toy and a charming addition to any collection.
