Seller's Notes

This MkII Mini Cooper S is an iconic British classic, offered from long-term ownership. Power comes from a 1,275cc A-Series inline-four engine, delivering around 75hp to the front wheels through a four-speed manual gearbox. An original Australian-built Cooper S, it was completed in April 1970 per the plate on the car. The odometer shows 9,362 miles, but this is not warranted. Build year: 1970 Presented in vibrant Jet Red with a white roof and bonnet stripe, this Mini rides on 10-inch Minilite-style wheels with Yokohama A-008 tyres. The black vinyl cabin was reportedly re-trimmed around 20 years ago, and is equipped with a three-spoke steering wheel, Smiths dials, push-out front quarter light windows, and a Sony CD stereo. One set of keys will be supplied, along with the original wheels and carburettors. Please refer to the photo gallery to assess the exterior and interior condition. The appeal of Alec Issigonis’ Mini endures, as a brilliant piece of packaging, not to mention a compact classic that is rewarding to drive. As an original Cooper S, this car also boasts impressive pace. Offered from long-term ownership, it would make a fun addition to any collection, and a crowd-pleasing car show companion.
