1974 Alfa Romeo Spider Series 2

This Alfa Romeo 2000 Spider Veloce is a stylish Italian convertible, accompanied by an aftermarket hard-top roof. Under the bonnet is a 2.0-litre twin-cam inline-four engine fed by twin Weber carburettors, which is coupled to a five-speed manual transmission. The seller notes that it has been kept in storage for around ten years. The odometer shows 75,439 km, however this is not warranted. Build year: 1974 This example is finished in Ivory, with a black soft-top roof, over a Nero leatherette-trimmed interior. It rides on a set of 14-inch wheels with polished ‘Alfa Romeo’ caps and Michelin tyres. Equipment includes a wood-rimmed three-spoke Personal steering wheel, push-out front quarter light windows, and a Clarion cassette stereo. The car will be supplied with its owner’s manual, various Spider-themed books, and a photographic record of a recent respray. One set of keys will be included. Specific notes from the seller include: the left hand side of the car has previously been damaged and repaired; it appears to have had a new left-rear quarter panel fitted at some stage in its life; the left guard (possibly a long time ago) has been panel beaten/repaired; we have photos of car in its bare metal before new paint was applied during a respray this year; there are small scuffs and wear around the door handles and door card edges; the engine runs a little rough on a cold start. A safety inspection was completed this year, which resulted in the fitment of new rear suspension bushes, brake flexi lines and brake fluid, as well as a front brake calliper rebuild. This 2000 Spider Veloce’s most recent service was completed in July 2025 by Heritage Racecraft, which included replacement of the radiator, coolant hoses, engine oil, oil filter, cam plug, rear suspension bushes, gearbox oil, tailshaft centre bearing and coupling, and the body and door seals. The interior light circuit has been repaired, and new headlight covers and chrome rings have been fitted.
