Seller's Notes

A striking restomod based on the mid-engined Porsche 914, which has reportedly been professionally upgraded with a 3.6-litre flat-six engine and a range of enhancements to deliver thrilling performance and a visceral driving experience. It is now powered by a naturally aspirated 3.6-litre flat-six from a 964-generation 911, driving the rear wheels via a five-speed Type 915 manual transmission with a Wevo short-shift kit and a lightweight flywheel. The car was restored and modified over several years, with substantial investment totalling around A$185,000. This example is understood to have originally been a US-delivered model, which was later imported to Australia, where it passed compliance in April 2022, and has been with the seller for seven years. The odometer indicates 77,067 km, though this is not warranted. Build year: 1974 This 914 has been transformed into a bespoke sports car, combining classic styling with modern mechanicals and tasteful cosmetic upgrades. This example is finished in a timeless shade of Light Ivory, over a black leatherette-trimmed interior, featuring woven-effect seat inserts. It rides on a set of 16-inch 7J front and 9J rear Fuchs alloy wheels finished in satin-black with anodised ‘petal’ spokes and lips, fitted with mixed tyres. The cabin was completely re-trimmed in black during the restomod, with sound deadening by Burg Design, and features a 300kph speedometer sourced from a 1976–1983 model for an authentic feel. This 914 now features a 914/6 GT-style bodykit, an aftermarket colour-coded front bumper, the removal of the rear bumper, a black leather-trimmed Momo steering wheel, a wooden gear knob, and a retro-style stereo with Bluetooth connectivity. The modifications and enhancements include: a Porsche 964 3.6-litre flat-six engine, a Porsche 915 five-speed manual gearbox, a Wevo short-shift kit, a lightweight flywheel, Billy Boat stainless steel heat exchangers, a Patrick Motorsport rear chassis reinforcement kit, a Patrick Motorsport louvered lower vent belly pan, a 916 oil tank, a Patrick Motorsport alloy crankshaft pulley and throttle conversion kit, a Patrick Motorsport harness, an AutoAtlanta clutch and pressure plate, and a VW Golf horn (clacson) The car is accompanied by the period-correct service wallet, original photos of the car in the US, and comprehensive invoices documenting the restoration and build. Supplied with two keys. Please refer to the photo gallery to assess the exterior and interior condition. The seller states that the last maintenance was in April 2025 at an indicated 76,984 km, carried out by Hartech Automotive, consisting of an engine oil and filter service. Prior to this, the car underwent a complete restoration and restomod process, with a detailed dossier of parts and work shown in the photo gallery spanning 2018 to 2021. This Porsche 914 has been meticulously transformed into a unique, high-performance restomod, blending classic aesthetics with substantial mechanical upgrades. With a 3.6-litre flat-six, robust drivetrain enhancements, and a thoughtfully refreshed interior, it offers an engaging and visceral driving experience. This bespoke build would make a distinctive and rewarding weekend toy, and a standout addition to any enthusiast’s collection.
