Seller's Notes

A stylish Italian classic, this Fiat 124 Sports Coupe is a desirable third-series ‘CC’ generation example, benefiting from previous restorative bodywork maintenance. It is powered by a naturally aspirated 1.8-litre (1,756cc) inline-four, delivering around 88kW to the rear wheels via a five-speed manual transmission. This example has been with the seller for two years. The odometer indicates 42,457 km, though this is not warranted. Build year: 1975 The third-series Fiat 124 ‘CC’ Coupe introduced a revised grille and tail-light design, along with a higher-displacement engine. This example is finished in an attractive shade of blue, over a black cloth and vinyl-trimmed interior, featuring a textured metal dashboard inlay, and chrome and painted-blue trim highlights. It rides on an aftermarket set of 13-inch Performance Minilite-style alloy wheels finished in copper with polished barrels, and fitted with Falken Ziex tyres. Equipment includes a top-tinted windscreen, a heated rear screen, a two-spoke steering wheel, a Veglia Borletti analogue clock, heater and ventilation controls, and push-out front and rear quarter light windows. This example has been enhanced with Koni shock absorbers, King Springs, 30/70 camshafts with vernier cam wheels, twin Weber 40 IDF carburettors, an alloy pulley kit, an electronic ignition system and fuel pump, a Pioneer CD stereo, a Fiat 131-sourced differential, and a 4-2-1 exhaust manifold. The car is accompanied by the original logbooks for warranty and maintenance. One ignition key is included. Please refer to the photo gallery to assess the exterior and interior condition. Specific notes from the seller include: the car was taken back to bare metal and resprayed by the previous owner, who also undertook rust repairs at that time. The seller notes that the tyres are old and may benefit from replacement, though they retain good tread, the instrument lights are dim and would benefit from replacement bulbs, and the battery may be approaching the end of its life. This 124’s most recent maintenance was carried out in February 2025 at an indicated 42,475 kilometres by a retired mechanic. This included an engine oil service, radiator flush, a new cam belt and tensioner fitted, replacement of the spark plugs, and a full reconditioning of the Weber carburettors. The seller reports the car has been serviced approximately every six months under their ownership. This Fiat 124 Sports Coupe is a compelling example of the stylish 1970s Italian classic, presented with tasteful mechanical upgrades and benefitting from a previous ‘bare-metal’ respray. Offering a characterful and engaging drive, this coupe would make a fun addition to a collection of classic sports cars and a rewarding companion for weekend drives, club runs, or classic car show visits.
