Seller's Notes

This Volkswagen Beetle is an iconic German classic, fitted with a handful of modifications. It is powered by an air-cooled 1.6-litre flat-four, driving the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. This Beetle was originally delivered to Japan before later being exported to Australia, where it completed the Compliance process in January 2025. The odometer shows 86,663 kilometres, however this is not warranted. Build year: 1975 This Beetle is finished in a vibrant shade of orange over a grey vinyl-trimmed cabin. It rides on a set of black steel wheels, fitted with polished covers. Equipment includes opening front quarterlight windows, a locking glovebox, and a retrofitted Kenwood Bluetooth stereo. Accompanying the sale is the export certificate, auction sheet, and one key. Larger-bore engine Weber carburettor Gene Berg shifter Kenwood Bluetooth stereo with amplifier and speakers Aftermarket tachometer Trio of dashboard-mounted gauges reading oil temperature, pressure, and amps Reupholstered door cards Please refer to the photo gallery to assess exterior and interior condition. Specific notes from the seller include: marks and blemishes on the paintwork. The seller believes that the car has previously been resprayed and retrimmed. The car’s last roadworthiness inspection was reportedly conducted in January 2025. The car was last serviced in January 2025 at around an indicated 85,000 kilometres by Sydney Commercials, who installed new front and rear seatbelts and replaced the engine oil, oil filter, spark plugs, and sway bar bushes. During the seller’s two-year ownership, the engine, brakes, suspension, and transmission have been refurbished. Originally introduced in 1938, the Volkswagen Beetle soldiered on in production in various parts of the world until 2003, with its 65-year-long production run of over 21.5 million units cementing its place in the history books as one of the most important cars of all time. This example is finished in a bright orange hue and benefits from the refurbishment of several mechanical parts over the last two years. It would now make a natural addition to any collection as well as a fun companion for weekend trips to classic car shows and events.
