Seller's Notes

This Mazda RX-7 Series 1 is a rare and exciting rotary-powered classic sports coupe. It is powered by a 1.1-litre naturally aspirated twin-rotor rotary engine, sending power to the rear wheels via a five-speed manual transmission. First registered in 1979, this RX-7 is an original Australian-market model, which passed compliance in April 1979. The odometer indicates 64,363 km, though this is not warranted. Build year: 1979 It is finished in a vibrant shade of green, over a brown vinyl and velour cloth-trimmed interior. It rides on a set of 13-inch Toyo Kogyo alloy wheels fitted with Yokohama Advan HF tyres. Equipment includes pop-up headlights, a heated rear screen, a four-spoke steering wheel, air conditioning, and a Clarion push-button radio and cassette stereo. Accompanied by the owner's manual. One ignition key is included. Please refer to the photo gallery to assess the exterior and interior condition. Specific notes from the seller include: one tiny paint bubble near the left-hand bottom edge of the rear hatch, only a couple of millimetres across, and repaired damage to the passenger seat material. The seller states that it was most recently serviced in June 2026 at an indicated 64,250 km, when the engine oil and filter, water pump, thermostat, radiator hoses, engine mounts, alternator, cooling fan and fan belt were replaced, and the coolant was flushed. The seller states that the car was self serviced as part of a large collection of cars. Previous service history is available in the photo gallery. The Mazda RX-7 Series 1 is celebrated as a pioneering rotary-powered sports car with distinctive styling. This Australian-delivered model is presented in an eye-catching green finish over a rich brown vinyl and cloth interior. It would make a compelling addition to any collection of iconic Japanese sports cars, and promises to be an engaging companion for weekend drives or classic car events for its next enthusiast owner.
