This AE86 has been fully restored by the current owner over a period of five years, and it has been fitted with a raft of OEM and aftermarket parts. The true mileage of the chassis is not known, though it has been restored from the ground up. The indicated mileage of 89,326 km is believed to be entirely accurate for the 4A-GE engine. This Corolla Levin is finished in resprayed high-gloss black with a gold front ‘Levin’ emblem. Inside, there is a black cloth interior featuring Recaro LS Confetti front seats. The resprayed black paintwork is in excellent condition and exhibits a deep shine. There is a small chip on the left side of the front bumper, and a minor crack in the paint on the bonnet. All exterior panels as well as the engine bay have had an extensive paint correction treatment, finished with an application of two layers of ceramic coating, at a cost of over $1,200. Inside, the cabin presents very well, and the dashboard has been professionally re-skinned. The plastics and carpet have been dyed black. The Innovate Motorsport gauges have recently stopped working, which will be repaired by an auto electrician before the car is handed over to its new owner. The most recent roadworthiness test was performed in 2019, resulting in a clean first-time pass. The owner carried out a routine oil change in October 2021. Prior to this, the engine was overhauled at approximately 81,000 kilometres. The seals and accessories were replaced with genuine Toyota items, and a new timing belt kit was installed. This is a superb example of the hallowed AE86-generation Corolla Levin that has been painstakingly rebuilt and extensively modified by its dedicated owner over the last five years. While it remains cosmetically highly original, the owner has invested in significant upgrades to the engine, driveline, suspension and brakes in particular – with the result being a compelling blend of 1980s styling with modern technology, electronics, and handling components.
