Seller's Notes
An immaculately presented example of the V123-model Limousine, in outstanding original condition and with very low mileage. It is powered by the 2.5-litre ‘M123’ straight-six, producing approximately 139bhp, coupled to the four-speed automatic transmission. First registered in the United Kingdom, the vehicle is believed to have been purchased new by a London bank. Since it arrived in Australia, it has been owned by a number of dedicated Mercedes-Benz enthusiasts. The Limousine was built over a stretched W123 saloon chassis, resulting in a long-wheelbase of 3,425mm that can seat up to eight people. Built over an eight-year period, roughly 5,000 examples of the 250 LWB model were produced. The elegant bodywork is finished in Astral Silver paint over a Navy Blue MB-Tex interior with wood trim and folding centre seat row. Features include factory optioned air-conditioning, electric windows, a Becker radio/cassette player, and an electric aerial. The vehicle is supplied with its original owner’s manual, first aid kit and history folder with receipts for works performed over the past six years. There is no known bodywork damage. The original Astral Silver paintwork is in excellent condition, with just very minor blemishes on the bonnet’s left-hand side, only visible upon close inspection. The brightwork retains a deep lustre, the bumpers show no obvious marks, and all the factory badging is present and correct. Inside, the Navy Blue interior is in outstanding condition, with the seats showing no visible wear or damage. The door cards and roof lining are in equally good condition, and there is just a minor 1cm crack in front of the instrument cluster on an otherwise excellent dashboard. All dials, controls and gauges work as they should, and there are no known electrical faults. Regular servicing has been undertaken by the vendor, a Mercedes-Benz club member, with the most recent work performed involving an engine oil and filter change, coolant replacement, brakes bled, and the transmission filter and fluid replaced. Prior to this, the radiator, thermostat, radiator hoses and fans belts were all replaced. During the vendor’s time with the vehicle, Mercedes-Benz specialist Alan Lennox the car a complete and thorough inspection with the receipt supplied. This Mercedes-Benz V123 250 ‘Lang’ is an outstanding example of the modern classic factory-built Limousine. Finished in a stylish colour scheme, it offers seating for eight in true luxury and style. With very low mileage from new, it would make for an opulent weekend cruiser or a wonderful addition to any collection.
