This 930-generation Porsche 911 Turbo is a lightly modified example of the iconic air-cooled 1980s sports car, which has benefitted from a detailed mechanical restoration. It is powered by a rebuilt 3.3-litre air-cooled turbocharged flat-six engine, driving the rear wheels via a four-speed manual transmission. This 930 is a ‘C02’ US delivery left-hand-drive car, and is noted to have lived in California for most of its lifetime. More recently it was imported to Australia and is offered for sale in Hyde Park, SA. The car has been with its current owner for two-and-a-half years. This 911 Turbo is finished in the timeless combination of Black over a beige leather-trimmed interior with a black dashboard, steering wheel and seatbelts. The bonnet has been refinished in matte black, complementing the black lip spoiler, tea tray spoiler rim, and black ‘shark fin’ rear wing guards. It now rides on a set of 16-inch Momo Heritage 6 alloy wheels finished in bronze, framing black Porsche callipers and drilled discs, and shod with Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4 tyres. The factory specification includes a limited-slip differential, an alarm system, a sunroof, a four-spoke steering wheel, air conditioning, electric windows, electrically adjustable front seats, and a heated rear windscreen with wiper. In place of the original Blaupunkt unit, it now has a modern Continental stereo head unit with USB and auxiliary connectivity. The car’s intercooler has been uprated to a Turbokraft item, and it has been fitted with SC camshafts, 993-generation head studs and the turbocharger has been rebuilt to modern specifications. The car comes with the owner’s manuals, including the stamped service booklet, and a factory tool kit, air compressor and a set of Fuchs alloy wheels.
