Seller's Notes

A handsome modern classic grand tourer, this E24-generation BMW 635 CSi reportedly benefits from notable refurbishment work. It is powered by a 3.4-litre naturally aspirated inline-six driving the rear wheels via a four-speed automatic transmission. This Australian-market model was reportedly built in June 1986 and passed compliance in May 1988. It has now been with the seller for three years. The odometer indicates 244,359 km, which the seller believes to be the genuine total. Build year: 1986 This E24-era 635 CSi is finished in the handsome shade of Bronze Beige Metallic, over a retrimmed brown leather interior. It now rides on a set of 16-inch Alpina multi-spoke alloy wheels fitted with Kumho Ecsta tyres. Equipment includes a limited-slip differential, an electric sliding sunroof, electric windows, an on-board computer, air conditioning, switchable transmission modes, and electrically adjustable front seats with three-position driver memory. The suspension has been refreshed with new King lowered springs, Bilstein Comfort shock absorbers, and new bushes. This example has also been fitted with an aftermarket four-spoke steering wheel with an Alpina horn button, and a Kenwood CD stereo with Bluetooth connectivity. Accompanying the vehicle are a tool kit, the owner’s manual, a service booklet, and a selection of maintenance invoices retained by the current owner, along with one original key and one additional spare key. Please refer to the photo gallery to assess the exterior and interior condition. Specific notes from the seller include: the bodywork has had previous rust repairs, and the exterior has been fully resprayed during the current ownership as well as a ceramic coated. Inside, the seats and door cards have been reupholstered, while the roof lining and sunroof panel have been replaced. There is minor wear reported on the driver’s seat. The last maintenance was carried out in January 2026 at an indicated 244,278 km by RX Automotive, consisting of an engine oil and filter change and an air filter replacement. Technicians during this service noted that the front brake hoses are cracked and need to be replaced. The seller states that in February 2025, technicians at RX Automotive installed a new fuel tank and cleaned the injectors. The seller states other notable maintenance includes the air conditioning system being refurbished with a replacement compressor and hoses, a rebuilt instrument cluster with added illumination, rebuilt door locks, new sunroof gaskets, a replacement aerial, a new water pump and thermostat, a new exhaust system, replacement brake lines, and new brake discs and pads. This E24-generation BMW 635 CSi is an appealing modern classic grand tourer, combining the smooth performance of its naturally aspirated straight-six engine with the iconic styling that has made the ‘sharknose’ coupes enduringly popular among enthusiasts. Reported to have benefitted from some significant refurbishment work during the current ownership, and boasting a stylish period colour scheme, it should make a rewarding and charismatic companion for relaxed touring or weekend drives.
