Seller's Notes

A very well-maintained example of the sprightly and stylish modern classic, in excellent condition throughout. Under the bonnet is a 2.5-litre naturally aspirated ‘M20’ straight-six that produces up to 170bhp, and drives the rear wheels via a five-speed manual sport transmission and limited-slip differential. First registered in March 1989, this lesser-seen E30 benefits from some tasteful modifications and improvements. This 325i Sport is finished in the timeless Lachssilber Metallic paintwork that brilliantly compliments the lines of the classic E30 silhouette. The interior has been upgraded with a vinyl seat cover kit, though the original fabric covers are provided with the car. An M Tech 2 steering wheel and Z3 gear shifter have been installed, and again the original items are included in the sale. The car rides on 16-inch Alpina alloy wheels, with the original 14-inch ‘Basketweave’ wheels also supplied. The vehicle is accompanied by some period-correct books (not original to the car), the spare parts as mentioned, and the original tool kit. There is no known body damage, other than minor damage to the front spoiler that was repaired. The Lachssilber Metallic paintwork is in excellent overall condition, with the owner understanding the car to have benefitted from a respray during its lifetime. There is a chip in the paint on the bonnet, and some minor stone chipping on the front bar, commensurate with road use. Inside, the Grey vinyl seats are in very good order, with no rips or notable wear evident. The dash, door cards and roof lining all present well, and everything works as it should. There are no known mechanical or electrical issues. The most recent service was performed by the owner in August 2021, with the oil and filter replaced, new spark plugs fitted, the air flow meter replaced, and a new fuel pump and fuel filter installed. Prior to this, the previous owner had Swiss Motors of Perth perform an oil and filter change, fit a purple tag steering rack, replace the front trailing arm bushes, diff mount, breather hose, coolant bypass hose, heater hose, clutch connector, and bleeder bolt. This E30-generation BMW 325i Sport is an impressive example of the stylish 1980s performance car, presented in smart overall condition and benefiting from significant recent service work. Featuring some tasteful modifications, this sporty modern classic would make an interesting daily driver or characterful weekend toy for any BMW enthusiast.
