This 1988 Ford Telstar TX5 Ghia has been beautifully preserved in remarkably original condition, giving its next owner a trip back in time to the late ‘80s. It is powered by a 12-valve 2.2-litre inline four-cylinder Ford motor paired with a four-speed automatic transmission. Conscientiously cared for, recently detailed and presented superbly. Delivered with metallic paint and velour interior, featuring power steering, power lift back and forged wheels. It has been maintained in original condition and the factory specification. Sold with the original owner’s handbook and Ford Telstar service manual. There is no known prior bodywork damage, other than a small indent on the driver’s side of the rear bumper. Its paintwork is believed to be original and is in excellent condition for its age. The bumpers show some scratches and scuffs consistent with the car’s originality. There is some minor wear on the heating and cooling control fascia. The Telstar exhibits no known mechanical or electrical faults, nor issues with controls or gauges. A roadworthy inspection was recently carried out, in August 2021, and the car passed first time through, with no warnings or advisories presented. Serviced in February 2021 by A-Z Auto Sydney, this was a routine service and included a tune as well as fresh oil, oil filter and spark plugs. Routine yearly services were carried out in March 2020 and April 2019. The only other maintenance required in recent years of ownership was a detail to ensure that the car is presented in pristine condition.
