A road-legal iteration of the rally legend that led Lancia to six World Rally Championship manufacturer titles, this 1989 Lancia Delta HF Integrale 16v is offered in beautiful original condition and with less than 35,000 kilometres on the clock. Under the hood is a 16-valve 2.0-litre inline-four with a Garrett T3 turbocharger and intercooler, mated to a five-speed manual transmission. The odometer displays just 34,269 km from new. The car was originally purchased new from Italy for import into Australia. It arrived in 1989 and completed compliance for registration in 1990. It is understood to have had just three owners. This Delta has been converted from left to right-hand drive, and will be sold with an extensive maintenance history from new. This Delta HF Integrale 16v is finished in Bianco over a grey cloth-trimmed interior with striped inserts on the seat centres and door cards. It rides on a set of 15-inch eight-hole alloy wheels, which are shod with Yokohama Advan A052 tyres. Factory options include ABS, rear fog lights, comfort seats and a sunroof. Documentation from Mike Spence Motorsport dated September 1989 included with the car suggests that the engine was modified to produce around 300bhp with an uprated head gasket and bolts, an uprated ECU, an upgraded fuel regulator, and variable boost control. The car was converted to right-hand drive once it arrived in Australia. Extensive re-commissioning has just been completed since the car was acquired by a Sydney-based Lancia specialist. This Delta Integrale will be sold with a full set of books, as well as a comprehensive maintenance and registration file dating back to 1989. To the owner’s knowledge, this Delta has not suffered from any accident or bodywork damage. The Bianco paintwork is thought to be entirely original and has been preserved in excellent condition. There are only a few minor age-related blemishes around the car, including a small dent on the leading edge of the driver’s-side front wing. The recently refurbished alloy wheels are described as being in as-new condition, and they have been fitted with brand new tyres. Inside, the car is similarly well-presented, and the fabric upholstery is very smart indeed, showing few signs of age or wear. Impressively, the factory-fitted clear plastic covers are still present on the rear door cards. Elsewhere, the interior trim items are in very good order, with only some very minor age-related ‘patina’ on the plastics. This Lancia presents no known mechanical or electrical faults. This Delta HF Integrale’s recently received a ‘no expense-spared’ re-commissioning by Lancia specialists Mastertouch Automotive in Marrickville. This include the fitment of new front and rear brake discs, brake pads, front and rear shocks and springs, brake lines, battery, cambelt, plugs, all filters and fluids, and new suspension bushes all-round.
