This Lancia Delta HF Integrale 8V is an exciting rally-derived hot hatch, reported to be in very usable condition following a recommissioning service in 2023. Under the bonnet is a turbocharged 2.0-litre inline-four, which produces around 130kW and sends it to all four wheels via a five-speed manual gearbox and a centre limited-slip differential as well as a Torsen rear differential. This is one of just 2,700 Lancia Delta Integrale ‘Kat’ models. These were produced for the Japanese, German and Swiss markets and were fitted with a catalytic converter. Despite using the 8V engine, they were equipped with many of the more desirable 16V specification features. This example was originally registered in Japan but was later imported to Tasmania, where it is now offered for sale. It was registered in Tasmania between 2008 and 2018 and has been in dry storage since, but it was recommissioned in 2023 including replacement of the timing belt, tensioner and water pump. The odometer shows 99,401 Km. The Lancia Delta HF Integrale 8V is finished in white, over an interior that features grey Alcantara-trimmed front Recaro seats with ‘Harlem Design’ pattern inserts on the seat centres, a charcoal velour-trimmed rear bench, and black interior carpets and plastics. The rare 8V ‘Kat’ model borrows a selection of uprated equipment from its 16V sister car, including revised springs and shocks resulting in a lower ride height, the wider 15 x 7-inch Speedline alloy wheels, the vented and bulged 16V bonnet, and the 47:53 front/rear drivetrain torque split. Equipment includes electric front windows, air conditioning, fog lights, a leather-trimmed three-spoke Momo steering wheel, Recaro front seats, Veglia Borletti instrument dials and auxiliary gauges, and a passenger seat-mounted fire extinguisher This example is fitted with a Kenwood radio cassette player, an OMP strut brace, raised bonnet brackets (which the seller notes are easily removable), front Eibach camber bolts, front Eibach lowering springs and 25mm KONI Sport 'Yellow' shock absorbers. The Lancia is accompanied by its import approval documentation, a collection of supporting invoices, two sets of keys, a spare wheel and cover, a tool roll and a jack. It will also be supplied with a number of spare parts, including a water pump, a full engine gasket set, a silicone hose kit for the air intake, the original springs, and the air conditioning compressor. Please note: the Targa Tasmania plates shown on the car are not included in the sale. Please refer to the photo gallery to assess the exterior and interior condition. Specific notes from the seller include: the Lancia has some light patina inside and out, commensurate with age and mileage. The roof lining has sagged. The rust around the bottom of the front screen and top of the rear tailgate opening was treated in 2008 but some corrosion has reappeared in these areas. It was registered in Tasmania between 2008 and 2018 and has been in dry storage since, but was serviced by its enthusiast owner of 16 years in November 2023 at 99,401. This recommissioning service included the fitment of a new timing belt, tensioner and water pump, a replacement distributor cap and rotor, a new tie rod end and steering rack boot, an engine oil and oil filter change, and a coolant change. A rust treatment was applied in 2008. The new 195/55/15 tyres have recently been fitted, as well as a new battery. This Lancia Delta is one of just 2,700 HF Integrale ‘Kat’ models that featured several options normally found on 16V specification models. The rally-bread modern classic benefits from a recent recommissioning service and is offered for sale from a 16-year ownership. It would make an exciting addition to any collection of performance heroes and a surefooted companion for spirited weekend drives.
