Seller's Notes

This W124-generation Mercedes-Benz 300 CE-24 is an elegant modern classic performance coupe, which is fitted with a selection of discerning upgrades. Under the bonnet sits a naturally aspirated 3.0-litre 24-valve straight-six, delivering around 170kW to the rear wheels via a four-speed automatic transmission. This example is an original Australian-delivered model, which is believed to have been with its current and fourth owner for four years. The car is noted to have benefitted from a full exterior repaint in 2023, since which it is noted to have been corrected and finished with a dual graphene ceramic coating. The odometer shows 196,154 km, though this is not warranted. This 300 CE is finished in the stylish hue of Blue-Black Metallic over a grey leather-trimmed interior, punctuated by handsome refinished wood veneer trim inlays. It rides on a set of non-standard 18-inch AMG ‘Monoblock’ alloy wheels with the correct centre caps, finished in silver and fitted with a set of Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tyres. Equipment includes electrically adjustable front seats with two-position driver memory, electric tilt and slide sunroof, heated rear screen, electrically retractable rear headrests, air conditioning, an electrically operated passenger door mirror, and electric windows. It also features a Becker Mexico 2000 radio cassette player head unit. Modifications include Eibach lowering springs, Bilstein suspension, the ‘Monoblock’ alloy wheels, an Avantgarde grille, clear indicator lenses, and AMG taillights. The car comes with the original owner’s manuals, the stamped service booklet, the spare wheel, tool kit, and warning triangle. Please refer to the photo gallery to assess the exterior and interior condition. Specific notes from the seller include: inside the car there is minor cracking on the arm rest piping in between the driver and passenger seats. This 300 CE’s most recent maintenance was carried out in May 2023 at 192,288 km by Euroworks. The work comprised of an engine oil and filter change, along with the replacement of the air filter, and the sunroof switch. A fuel system and engine clean were also performed at the service. Prior to this, the car was serviced in September 2014 at 154,530 km, which included replacement of the ECU, distributor cap, engine mount, rotor arm, exhaust manifold, sway bar bushes, injector seals, Bilstein shocks and springs, as well as the fitment of a set of reconditioned interior wood veneers, and an air conditioning service. The seller notes that the exhaust manifold fitted to the car was ceramic coated. This Mercedes-Benz 300CE-24 is an elegant modern classic pillarless coupe, which is presented in impressive order following a recent repaint and fitment of reconditioned interior wood veneers. In the possession of its current owner for approaching five years, this example is fitted with a selection of light upgrades and is noted to wear its miles very well. It would now surely make a sophisticated long-distance tourer or daily driver. The description of this consignment is, to the best of the seller’s knowledge, accurate and not misleading. Collecting Cars requests a range of detail about the lot from the seller and performs a level of due diligence. However, potential buyers must independently satisfy themselves as to the accuracy of the description.
