This Porsche 911 is one of just 936 examples of the sought-after 964 Speedster, in a desirable ‘triple black’ colour scheme. It is equipped with an air-cooled 3.6-litre flat-six engine, which sends around 186kW to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission. An original Australian-market car; it has been with the current and fourth owner for an impressive 21 years. It is believed to be one of 27 right-hand-drive 964-era Speedsters built. The odometer shows 65,245 km. Build year: 1993 This 964 Speedster is finished with black paintwork over a black leather-trimmed interior, featuring graduated grey leather on the bucket seats, and yellow accents throughout. The car also features a matching black soft-top roof. It rides on a set of 17-inch five-spoke alloys, fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport tyres. Factory-fitted options on this car include air conditioning and a radio. Modifications include the fitment of various Rennsport parts such as an alloy bonnet, single mass flywheel, lightweight battery, rear bumper, washer bottle, strut brace, single belt fan pulley, engine and gearbox mounts, fog light delete, shorter-throw gear lever, and adjustable sway bars. In addition to the above, it also now has a Porsche Cup exhaust and a limited-slip differential, as well as a three-way cut immobiliser, in addition to the factory alarm and immobiliser. Accompanying the car are the log books, two folders containing extensive records of maintenance and parts purchases, and two keys. All original parts removed from the car accompany, except for the original radio. Please refer to the photo gallery to assess the exterior and interior condition. Specific notes from the seller include: The car benefits from a new Rennsport rear bumper and alloy bonnet, both professionally painted by a Porsche-approved paint shop. The plastic side skirts, which conceal the oil and air-conditioning pipes, were also refinished to eliminate stone chips. Elsewhere, the mirror housings show some bubbling in the paint, likely caused by moisture trapped beneath protective covers over time. There are a few paint chips on the bonnet, and the fibreglass roof cover for the emergency roof has minor damage on the left-hand front corner. The rear spoiler has a small crack but operates perfectly; a brand-new, Porsche-painted replacement spoiler is included with the car. There is also a scratch on the left-hand rear area near where the roof bolts down. The wheels appear to have been repainted. Inside, the driver’s seat stitching along the outer edge shows some signs of wear. The seller notes that during an inspection, the dealer advised of a light oil mist from the air-conditioning compressor, and adds that the air-conditioning performance of the car has never been particularly strong. The seller states that the latest service was carried out during January 2024 at 64,890 kilometres by Porsche Centre Brisbane. The work comprised an engine oil and filter change, along with a four-wheel alignment. Prior to this, it was reportedly serviced in December 2022 at 63,706 kilometres by Porsche Centre Brisbane, which included an engine oil and filter change, and a brake and clutch fluid bleed; and in November 2021 at 63,366 kilometres by Porsche Centre Brisbane, which comprised an oil and filter change, a full inspection and re-gas of the air-conditioning system, and a recommendation to replace the compressor. The seller notes that during their 21 years of ownership, the car has been meticulously maintained, with regular oil and filter changes using Mobil 1 5W-50, brake pads, wheel alignments, Bilstein PSS9 shocks, brake and clutch bleeds, air-conditioning services, a new clutch with RS flywheel installation, major service items such as spark plugs, tappets, and fuel filter, gearbox and engine mounts, and other routine replacements including battery, engine sensors, and gauge servicing. Benefiting from an impressive and largely main dealer service history, and offered from long-term ownership, it is ready to make the most of the spring and summer months, and would make a desirable addition to any assembly of iconic Porsches.
