Seller's Notes

This Toyota Supra GZ Aero Top is a rare and sought-after modern classic Japanese performance icon, with a removable targa top, and which has been enhanced with some discerning upgrades. Under the bonnet sits a lauded twin-turbocharged 3.0-litre ‘2JZ-GTE’ straight-six, which drives rear wheels via a Getrag six-speed manual transmission. This is understood to be one of only 354 examples of the GZ variant built. The odometer indicates approximately 41,000 km, but this is not warranted. Build year: 1994 This example has been resprayed in Sparkling Black Mica, and rides on an aftermarket set of 18-inch Rays 5ZR five-spoke split-rim alloy wheels, wrapped in Yokohama Advan A050 tyres. The seller states that the engine now features upgraded valve springs, Brian Crower 264 cams, ARP studs and conrod bolts, a four-inch intercoler, a PWR radiator, a TRD thermostat, a GReddy 36-row oil cooler, and a new short block, oil pump, water pump, gasket set, timing belt and harmonic balancer. It also has a Turbosmart 6466 turbocharger, as well as a custom airbox and 50mm wastegate. While as a rare GZ variant it would originally have had an automatic transmission, the car has been fitted with a manual gearbox. They also note that the fuel system now consists of twin Walbro 460 LPH pumps, 1,650cc injectors, a Turbosmart fuel pressure regulator and upgraded fuel lines, while the ECU is a Link G4+ system with new loom sensors, Bosch coils, a flex fuel sensor and new wiring. Linked to the Getrag V160 gearbox is a South Bend Stage 3 Endurance clutch, a dual-mass flywheel and a rare C’s short shifter. The car has reportedly been fitted with an OS Giken Superlock differential with the larger ‘Bo3B’ differential case, as well as new bearings, seals, bushes and subframe mounts. It has HKS Hipermax III coilover suspension, with stiffer front springs, Titan sway bars, and new wheel studs, control arms, camber bolts and stub axles. Stopping power comes from Ceika Performance brakes with eight-pot front and six-pot rear callipers. The interior features Recaro SR3 Confetti seats, Defi gauges, a TRD tachometer, Series 2 lights, and new carpets and door trims. One key and alarm immobiliser will be supplied. Please refer to the photo gallery to assess the exterior and interior condition. This Toyota Supra GZ Aero Top is a potent and sought-after 1990s Japanese performance icon, which has reportedly been enhanced with a raft of discerning upgrades. It would make an exciting addition to any assembly of modern classic heroes, and a rewarding companion for weekend fun or JDM-themed car meets.
