Seller's Notes

A smart example of the eminently usable modern classic performance hero, finished in a striking BMW Individual colour scheme. It is powered by the 4.9-litre naturally aspirated ‘S62’ V8 engine, producing 394bhp and 369lb-ft of torque which is delivered to the rear wheels through a rewarding six-speed manual gearbox. This example boasts a handful of discreetly integrated upgrades, including a three-spoke steering wheel, an updated navigation unit, and a stainless-steel exhaust. This E39-generation M5 is finished in the BMW Individual hue of ‘Hellrot’ over a two-tone black and Imola Red leather-trimmed interior, and rides on 18-inch ‘Style 65’ alloy wheels finished in Shadow Chrome. It is generously equipped with electrically adjustable and heated front seats with three-position driver’s memory, a later-specification three-spoke multi-function steering wheel, cruise control, climate control, an updated infotainment unit with satellite navigation and a reversing camera, rear parking sensors, and an electric sunroof. A stainless-steel exhaust system and ‘AC Schnitzer’ pedals have been fitted. The car is accompanied by its owner’s manual and handbooks, various maintenance invoices, the correct boot-mounted tool kit, a warning triangle and tyre inflator, the original gear gaiter, steering wheel and gear knob, the original infotainment and later widescreen units, and two keys plus valet key. Please note: the number plates shown in the photos are NOT included. Overall, the Hellrot paintwork is in very good condition, with a recent front-end respray carried out to correct some stone chips, and only a few minor imperfections around the car commensurate with its age and mileage. The alloy wheels present very well, with just a handful of minor scuffs on their surfaces. Moving inside, the original leather-trimmed cabin is very smart. There is some creasing to the seats, a couple of indentations on the rear seats, and some wear to the ‘titanium’ dashboard inlays and the driver’s door sill plate. There are no known mechanical or electrical faults. The car’s most recent roadworthiness test was conducted on 10 June 2020, when it registered a clean, first-time pass.
