A rare and highly focused analogue performance car, this 996-generation Porsche 911 GT2 Clubsport is understood to be one of only seven examples delivered new to Australia, offered here with low mileage. It is powered by a 3.6-litre twin-turbocharged flat-six, delivering around 340kW to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual transmission. The odometer shows a modest 38,308 km from new. Build year: 2001 The 996-generation 911 GT2 was based on the esteemed 911 Turbo, but was 10-percent more powerful and seven-percent lighter, making it the fastest Porsche available in period, power was also sent to the rear wheels. This example is finished in the timeless shade of Arctic Silver, over a black leather and cloth-trimmed interior, featuring contrasting red seat belts, coloured Porsche crests on the headrests, and silver-toned, brushed aluminium-effect, and carbon-fibre trim. It rides on a set of 18-inch ‘Turbo Twist’ alloy wheels, framing yellow Porsche-branded brake callipers over carbon-ceramic discs, and fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport tyres. Equipment includes xenon headlights, automatic air conditioning, a Porsche CDR-220 stereo, CD storage, and electric windows. This example was specified with the desirable Clubsport package, which includes a rear roll cage and fixed-back Recaro bucket seats. The car has also been fitted with an IPE exhaust with remote control. It is accompanied by the owner’s manuals in a black leather wallet, two keys, the GT2 supplement, and a stamped service booklet. It would be a standout addition to any Porsche collection, equally suited to careful preservation or to being driven and enjoyed on fast road runs and track days.
