Seller's Notes

This E46-era BMW M3 is lauded millennium-era performance hero, given a noticeable power boost courtesy of a VF Engineering supercharger kit and supporting performance upgrades. It is powered by a 3.2-litre naturally aspirated ‘S54’ straight-six, now equipped with a VF Engineering supercharger kit, driving the rear wheels via an engaging six-speed manual transmission. The car has been enjoyed as intended but evidently well maintained, and the odometer shows 155,770 Kms from new. This M3 is finished in Carbon Black over a black leather-trimmed interior, punctuated by carbon-fibre trim with silver-toned accents on the door cards. It rides on a set of 19-inch ‘Style 67’ alloy wheels, housing upgraded red K-Sport brake callipers and shod with Michelin Pilot Super Sport tyres. The factory specification includes cruise control, a multifunctional steering wheel with’ M Sport’ stitching, an electric sunroof, electrically adjustable front seats with three-position driver memory, M Sport aluminium pedals, automatic climate control, a switchable sport setting, a premium Harman/Kardon sound system, and a built-in infotainment system with satellite navigation. This E46 M3 features some upgrades including the VF Engineering supercharger kit, a Parrot Bluetooth in-car audio system, blacked-out kidney grilles, a K-Sport ‘big brake’ kit, adjustable H&R coilovers, an aftermarket exhaust system, a strengthened rear subframe, a four-point rear strut brace, and a carbon-fibre front strut brace. The car comes with its owner’s handbooks, a service booklet and tool kit. There is no known bodywork damage. Rectifying a common E46 M3 weak spot, the rear subframe has previously been repaired with reinforced plates welded in. The Carbon Black paintwork is reported to be in generally good condition. The seller notes some very minor stone chips on the bonnet, and there are also some minor and larger stone chips on the front bumper, cracking around the front towing eye, some slight stone chips on the door mirror covers, a small patch of lacquer peel on the nearside side skirt, scratches on the lower rear offside wheel arch, and some scratches on the front offside lower wheel arch. Stepping inside, the cabin is presented in good shape, though there are some general use-related marks. These include a blemish and light wear on the steering wheel, some blemishes and scratches on the centre console, slight wear on the gear knob, minor scuffs and discolouration on the driver’s door card armrest, and creasing on the seats, with slight wear on the front seat bolsters. There are no known mechanical or electrical faults, and there are no warning lights showing on the dashboard. This M3’s most recent maintenance was carried out by the seller, which consisted of an oil and filter service with new spark plugs. With a timeless all-black colour scheme, potent performance, an involving manual transmission and all-round usability, it should make a fine addition to any assembly of ‘M’ cars, and an impressive companion for both daily driving and weekend blasts on the new owner’s favourite roads.
