Seller's Notes

This BMW M3 CSL is a remarkably low-mileage example of the coveted performance coupe. It is powered by a naturally aspirated 3.2-litre ‘S54’ inline-six, delivering 265kW to the rear wheels through a six-speed SMG automated manual transmission with paddle shift. This UK-market example is said to remain in a highly original and unmodified condition. It has covered around 7,613 miles (12,252km) from new. The M3 CSL was produced as a lightweight flagship model, weighing 110kg less than the standard coupe courtesy of a carbon-fibre roof, air box, front splitters, and rear diffuser, as well as an aluminium bonnet and thinner rear windscreen glass. This example is finished in Silver Grey over a black Amaretta suede and Reflex cloth-trimmed cabin with carbon-fibre inlays. It rides on a set of 19-inch alloy wheels, housing red callipers and wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tyres. Equipment includes a switchable sport mode, climate control, and a BMW Business CD player. This well-preserved CSL features the original run-in sticker on the top right of the windscreen, as well as two other stickers including a warning that the tyres may not perform well when driving in wet conditions, a reference to the Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tyres first originally fitted to the car. Accompanying the sale is the owner’s book pack, service book, various invoices, warning triangle, first aid kit, and two keys. The car also comes with the NSW registration – FFJ25J, compliance plate, and all import approval documents which are required for registration in other states. Please refer to the photo gallery to assess the exterior and interior condition. Specific notes from the seller include: old tyres from 2012, minor stone chips on the paintwork, and light ‘wear and tear’ within the cabin. Also, to avoid confusion, the odometer reading on the RTA website is in kilometres because miles will be recognised as kilometres without conversion during the roadworthy test. The rego paper shows this car is manufactured in 2022 which can be corrected at RTA. The protection film is still present on the front seat shells and kickboard. The most recent roadworthiness test was reportedly conducted on 25 January 2024, resulting in a clean pass. An Inspection I and II service was performed in September 2023 at 7,599 miles by BMW Sydney, who also replaced the engine oil, oil filter, and microfilter. Prior to this, BMW Sydney carried out an Inspection II service and microfilter replacement in November 2021 at 6,878 miles. BMW specialist Munich Legends carried out the previous Inspection I service in March 2020 at 6,806 miles. A new battery has been fitted during the seller’s three-year ownership. Praised by the seller for its vocal straight-six and excellent handling, it would make a natural addition to a collection of sought-after performance heroes as well as an exciting and highly capable weekend toy for any marque enthusiast.
