Seller's Notes

This E64-generation BMW M6 Convertible is a well-presented example of the powerful open-top grand tourer, boasting low mileage and with only three owners from new. It is powered by a naturally aspirated 5.0-litre V10, producing around 500bhp and driving the rear wheels via a seven-speed automated manual transmission with paddle shifters. The odometer shows shows 45,751 km from new. The car has been with its current and third owner for close to three years, and was last serviced in April 2022 at 45,521 km. This BMW M6 Convertible was specified in the lesser-seen hue of Sepang Bronze metallic over a white Merino leather-trimmed interior, offset by a black upper dashboard and door card inlays. It rides on a set of 19-inch ‘Style 167’ alloy wheels, shod in Kuhmo Ecsta SPT tyres. Factory-fitted features include a BMW M leather-trimmed steering wheel, heated seats, Piano Black trim inlays, the iDrive navigation system with voice control and a heads-up display, adaptive xenon headlights, front and rear park distance control, cruise control, soft-close doors, high beam assist, and the comfort access system. The car will be supplied with its original handbook, and a replacement service book commencing from November 2008 at 11,092 kms to the current date including all invoices since February 2020. A printout of maintenance items from November 2008 to June 2013 is also included for information and reference. - Included are two key fobs, and a Sepang Bronze metallic BMW ColourSystem touch-up kit with clear lacquer. The seller notes that a minor repair has previously been carried out on the passenger door, but they are not aware of any other bodywork damage. The Sepang Bronze metallic paintwork is described by the seller as being in excellent condition, though they state that there is road rash on the rears of the lower sills, blemishes and a scuff on the rear bumper, three stone chips on the nearside rear wing, a small repair on the passenger door, and a touch of light kerb rash on the nearside rear wheel. The soft-top roof is in good shape, with no obviously marks, rips, or tears. Inside, the cabin presents well given the car’s age, but does show some signs of use. These include scuffs and wear on the driver’s seat bolsters, light creasing on the seats in general, and wear on the rubberised sections of the steering wheel. Elsewhere, there is a little light wear on the driver’s carpet insert, sill and lower door card, but the interior is in good order overall. The seller is not aware of any electrical or mechanical faults, and they state that there are no warning lights or messages showing on the dashboard. This M6’s latest service was carried out in April 2022 at 45,521 kms by marque specialist SouthernBM, Melbourne. The work comprised of an engine oil and filter change, along with the replacement of the brake fluid and the passenger door speaker. Prior to this, the car was serviced in February 2020 at 43,321 kms. In addition to an engine oil, oil filter, air filter, micro filter and spark plug change, this also included the replacement of the gearbox oil, brake fluid, differential oil, caster arm bush kit, nearside trailing arm dust boot, thermostat and O-rings, coolant hose, coolant sensor and coolant, as well as cleaning the throttle mechanism, a wheel alignment, and cleaning and lubricating the roof and door seals. In January 2019, the car received an engine oil and filter service, along with the replacement of the micro filter, brake fluid, and air filter. The seller also notes that the differential oil was changed and a BMW-recommended limited-slip differential oil treatment product added in December 2020 at 44,143 kms. This low-mileage BMW M6 Convertible is a rare open-top grand tourer, which has been well maintained, and is presented in very smart condition throughout. Recently serviced and ready to enjoy, it should make a comfortable yet highly capable companion for long-distance road trips and shorter journeys alike, and could easily be pressed into use as a refined daily driver.
