Seller's Notes

This Chrysler Crossfire SRT-6 is a relatively low-mileage example of the rare performance coupe. Under the bonnet is a Mercedes-Benz AMG 3.2-litre supercharged V6, sending 246kW and 420Nm of torque to the rear wheels via a five-speed automatic transmission. Only around 4,000 examples of the SRT-6 model were delivered worldwide, split between coupe and roadster variants, and the seller believes that only 105 of these cars were right-hand drive coupes. The two-owner example has been with the seller, a mechanic, for the past 11 years. The odometer shows just 62,961 Km. The Crossfire was based on the R170 Mercedes-Benz SLK platform, and was built by Karmann in Germany. The SRT-6 variant carried over the running gear from the SLK 32 AMG. This Crossfire is finished in the distinguished hue of Machine Grey over a grey leather and Alcantara-trimmed interior, punctuated by aluminium-effect trim and featuring ‘SRT-6’ embroidered headrest script. It rides on a staggered set of 18-inch front and 19-inch rear multispoke alloy wheels. Equipment includes a leather-trimmed steering wheel, drilled alloy pedal covers, air conditioning, CD radio, electrically adjustable heated front sports seats, switchable traction control, switchable driving modes, electric windows, rear bulkhead-mounted storage compartment, cruise control and electronically adjustable door mirrors. The Chrysler is accompanied by its owner’s pack, partially stamped service book, two keys and tools. Please refer to the photo gallery to assess the exterior and interior condition. Specific notes from the seller include: there is a small paint blemish in front of the left-hand rear wheel and the tyres will need replacement soon. The most recent inspection test was conducted in 2013 when the car was re-licenced in Western Australia, resulting in a pass with no advisories. The last maintenance was a service in July 2023 conducted by the mechanic owner. This included an engine oil and oil filter change and a general inspection. The seller states that he has serviced the car annually and has conducted oil changes at approximately 600 Km intervals during his 11-year ownership. The accompanying service book shows that the car was serviced annually between 2009 and 2012 by a Chrysler main dealer in Queensland. This Chrysler Crossfire SRT-6 is a well-presented, relatively low-mileage example of the high-performance compact coupe. With robust Mercedes-Benz mechanicals and a comfortable and generously equipped cabin, this Crossfire should prove to be an exciting companion for long-distance tours, spirited drives and car shows alike. The description of this consignment is, to the best of the seller’s knowledge, accurate and not misleading. Collecting Cars requests a range of detail about the lot from the seller and performs a level of due diligence. However, potential buyers must independently satisfy themselves as to the accuracy of the description. Potential buyers should view or arrange inspections as well as conduct any research they feel is necessary before committing to bid or buy. Please note that it is not uncommon for classic or collectible vehicles to have received cosmetic repairs in the past, either to rectify damage or refresh appearance, and this work may be undetectable even upon visual inspection. Unless there is an explicit statement by the seller to the contrary, please assume that any vehicle could have had bodywork or paintwork during its life. Furthermore, photographs may not reflect the true colour or full condition of the vehicle. It is a bidder’s responsibility to satisfy themselves of the colour and condition of a vehicle, including its interior and the existence of any remedial bodywork or paintwork, before committing to bid or buy. This includes by raising enquiries with the seller in the comments section. For vehicles, unless otherwise stated, potential buyers should also assume that any cherished registration may be retained by the seller. Please see our Terms and Conditions for full details. This vehicle’s VIN has been checked against the Australian Personal Property Securities Register, and there is no security interest or other registration kind logged against the serial number. This vehicle has been checked through the Austroads NEVDIS system, and there are no markers under the written-off or stolen databases.
