This E-Series Holden HSV W427 is a rare limited-edition high-performance sedan, offered with two owners from new. Under the bonnet sits a naturally aspirated 7.0-litre (427ci) LS7 V8, delivering 375kW to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual transmission. First registered in August 2008, this example has only recently been acquired by the seller and the second owner since new. This E-Series HSV W427 is number 16 of just 137 examples produced, of which just 23 were specified in this silver metallic hue. The odometer shows 11,198 km, which the seller believes to be the genuine total. Build year: 2008 Based on the VE-generation Holden Commodore, the HSV W427 is a limited-edition flagship variant of the HSV E Series range, which was released in celebration of the marque’s 20th anniversary in 2008. 427 examples of the model were originally intended to be built, though the final number produced was reportedly just 137; making it an incredibly rare find. The limited-run model features several desirable factory upgrades, including the 7.0-litre LS7 V8 engine, a redesigned front bumper and grille, recalibrated Magnetic Ride Control, stiffer suspension settings, a strengthened gearbox, a new exhaust system, larger six-piston brake callipers, and a strengthened limited-slip differential. This example is finished in the tasteful shade of Nitrate / Switch Blade silver with a Production Black front grille section, front bumper inserts, boot lip spoiler, and rear diffuser, over a black and red cabin, featuring red leather upholstery, embroidered ‘W427’ emblems on the seat backs, and satin-silver, satin-gunmetal, and carbon-fibre trims. It rides on a set of 20-inch twin five-spoke alloy wheels, framing red W427-branded brake callipers, and fitted with Bridgestone Potenza tyres. Equipment includes xenon headlights, rear parking sensors, cruise control, a central Blaupunkt media system with navigation, upper dashboard battery voltage, oil temperature, and oil pressure gauges, dual-zone automatic air conditioning, Magnetic Ride Control suspension, and electrically adjustable front seats. The car comes with a spare wheel, two keys, a HSV-branded car cover, the original presentation box with a HSV-branded cap, notebook, pen, and key ring, as well as the HSV ‘Car Care Kit’, the HSV-branded metal briefcase, copies of Wheels and Motor magazines, HSV-branded seat covers, a set of replacement decals and badges, touch-up paint, all the owner’s manuals in a black leather wallet, the stamped owner’s handbook, and a few other HSV accessories and merchandise. The most recent roadworthiness test was in March 2025, which is reported to have resulted in a clean pass. The last maintenance was in May 2025 at an indicated 11,094 km by Unorthodox Automotive, which consisted of an engine oil service, a brake service with new fluid, and the clutch fluid being drained and flushed.
