This BMW M3 is a highly specified ‘M3 Edition’ example of BMW's lauded performance coupe; finished in the rare Edition-only individual hue of Monte Carlo Blue metallic. It is powered by a 4.0-litre naturally aspirated V8 engine, sending 414bhp to the rear wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission with paddle shifters. The odometer displays approximately 80,500 km from new. This example is believed to be just one of three ‘M3 Edition’ cars to be delivered new to Australia, and it remains in original condition boasting a recent refresh of some parts. This E92-generation M3 is finished in the truly eye-catching individual hue of Monte Carlo Blue metallic with a carbon-fibre roof and black kidney grilles, bonnet vents and wing mirrors, over a black Novillo leather-trimmed cabin, accented by blue contrast stitching. As with all ‘M3 Edition’ cars, this example features 10mm lowered sport suspension. The car is fitted with H and R lowering springs and a BMW Alcantara steering wheel. It rides on a set of 19-inch black M Double Spoke 19-inch alloy wheels, housing black brake calipers and shod in recently-fitted Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tyres. The factory specification includes electrically adjustable heated front seats with two-position driver’s memory, dual-zone climate control, cruise control, Park Distance Control, and a widescreen iDrive infotainment unit with satellite navigation. The car is accompanied by the owner’s manuals, including a stamped service book, various receipts and invoices, and print outs of maintenance from BMW and two keys. The car’s cherished number plate is not included in the sale. There is no impact damage present on the bodywork. The Monte Carlo Blue metallic paintwork is in generally excellent condition, without a single defect present and exhibiting an impressive level of gloss and lustre. Inside, the cabin presents equally well, with some very minor creasing on the black leather driver’s seat, but with no other wear, it presents in close to ‘as-new’ order. There are no known electrical or mechanical faults with the car, and there are no warning lights showing on the dashboard. This M3’s latest service was carried out during January 2022 at 79,564 km by G-SPEC. The work comprised of an engine oil and filter change, along with the replacement of the rod bearings, main bearings, throttle actuators, thermostat, brake pads and discs. A set of new Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tyres were also fitted to the car. Prior to this, the car received oil services during December 2020 at 78,609 km, and September 2019 at 78,332 km. The vendor reports that several genuine BMW parts have been recently fitted to the car, to enhance its cosmetic appearance, these include a new carbon-fibre rear spoiler, carbon-fibre front splitters, floor mats and chrome exhaust tips. This is a cosmetically impressive example of BMW’s lauded M3 Coupe in desirable ‘Edition’ specification, finished in the lesser-seen individual shade of Monte Carlo Blue and equipped with a plethora of desirable factory options. Recently benefitting from a major service and a selection of genuine BMW replacement parts, this low-mileage performance icon would make an ideal companion on spirited weekend drives, or a perfect addition to any modern performance car collection.
