Dodge Challenger for Sale in Australia1973-2023

About the Dodge Challenger

The Dodge Challenger, a nameplate that has defined the American pony car across three distinct eras, has reached a fascinating crossroads in 2026 following the official end of its internal combustion production in late 2023. In the current Australian market, the market value for the third-generation (2008–2023) models is incredibly diverse: high-mileage V6 SXT models can be found for approximately $65,000 AUD, while locally converted, low-kilometre SRT Hellcat and Jailbreak editions command between $215,000 and $290,000 AUD, with the rare SRT Demon acting as a blue-chip investment piece reaching north of $450,000 AUD. The car’s desirability is currently at an all-time high, driven by its status as the "last of the HEMI V8s" and its unapologetically retro-modern design that has aged more gracefully than its rivals. The buyer pool consists of traditionalist muscle enthusiasts and high-performance collectors who value the Challenger’s spacious "true five-seater" cabin and its visceral, supercharged character. In Australia, where the car was never officially sold through dealerships, the premium for professionally right-hand-drive converted "Last Call" editions remains exceptionally strong, as these represent the final chapter of a 54-year legacy before the badge transitions into the "multi-energy" era of the 2026 Charger.
