MARKET ANALYSIS
Modena F1 (1999 to 2005)

The Ferrari 360 Modena F1 was produced from 1999 to 2005 and was the most common specification of the 360 lineup, featuring Ferrari’s early electro-hydraulic F1 paddle-shift transmission in place of the traditional gated manual. Power came from the naturally aspirated 3.6-litre Tipo F131 V8, producing 395 hp and driving the rear wheels, with a quoted 0–100 km/h time of around 4.5 seconds. The F1 system, derived from Ferrari’s Formula 1 technology, offered quicker shift times on paper but is known today for its slower, more mechanical feel compared to later Ferrari gearboxes, making clutch condition and service history critical factors. Of the roughly 17,000 Ferrari 360s built, the majority were F1 cars, making them far more common than manuals. In Australia, the 360 Modena F1 typically represents the most accessible entry point into Ferrari V8 ownership, with values strongly influenced by mileage, colour, maintenance records, and remaining clutch life.
