FK8 (2017 to 2021)

Introduced in 2017, the Honda Civic Type R FK8 marked a major turning point for the Type R nameplate, becoming the first Civic Type R to be officially sold in Australia and the first to adopt a turbocharged engine. Built on the tenth-generation Civic platform, the FK8 is powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged K20C1 inline-four producing 306 hp, paired exclusively with a 6-speed manual transmission and front-wheel drive, and backed by advanced chassis electronics that redefined what a FWD performance car could achieve.
