The Mercedes-Benz W221 S-Class was introduced for the 2007 model year and represents the fifth generation of Mercedes’ flagship luxury sedan, combining advanced technology with improved build quality over its predecessor. Offered in short- and long-wheelbase forms, the W221 featured a wide range of petrol, diesel, and hybrid powertrains, becoming the first S-Class to introduce a hybrid model with the S400 Hybrid. The lineup included variants such as the S350, S320 CDI, S500 / S500L, S550, S550 4MATIC, S450 4MATIC, S600, and S350 BlueTEC 4MATIC, alongside high-performance models like the S63 AMG and range-topping S65 AMG.
