Its naturally aspirated 3.4 litre twin-cam inline six is paired with a manual transmission driving the rear wheels. The odometer currently shows 19,286 miles* TMU.
Introduced in October 1954 as the successor to the XK120, the XK140 brought rack-and-pinion steering, increased cabin space and revised exterior detailing. Moving the engine forward provided additional passenger room, while the coupe models gained small occasional rear seats. The range comprised an open two-seater, drophead coupe and fixed head coupe, with production continuing into early 1957.
Finished in white, this example features chrome wire wheels, chrome bumpers with overriders and a split windscreen. The cabin combines red leather upholstery and red carpets with timber dashboard and door cappings, centrally positioned instruments and a floor-mounted gear lever. The wheels are fitted with 185HR16 Vredestein Sprint Classic tyres, which the seller advises carry a production date of week six, 2017, and were fitted at an odometer reading of 14,415 miles.
The seller believes the previous owner retained the Jaguar for approximately 19 years. Originally delivered to Singapore, accompanying the vehicle is an extensive chronological file documents its history from 1989, including the reported 1990 restoration, with paintwork undertaken by Memory Lane in Perth. The most recent full service was completed by M-Tech Automotive Services in March 2026, with the welch plugs also replaced.
The seller describes the mechanical condition as good. Disclosed cosmetic imperfections include paint chips on a front mudguard. The chrome trim, including the bumpers, grille, headlight surrounds, handles and window surrounds, is described as being in excellent condition, as are the badges and chrome wire wheels. The lights, lenses and remaining glass are reported to be in good condition. Inside, the leather seats are described as excellent, without rips or tears, and the carpets are reported to be clean and in good condition. The seller reports no accident history.
