Seller's Notes

This Fiat 850 Coupe is an honest and appealing example of the charming classic Italian coupe, offered in smart, largely original condition. Under the rear engine lid sits a naturally aspirated 843cc inline-four, driving the rear wheels via a four-speed manual transmission. The odometer shows 78,116 Kms, however this is not warranted. This left-hand drive example has been with the seller for five years. This 850 Coupe is presented in the handsome shade of Blu Scuro over a red vinyl-trimmed interior, featuring a black dashboard with a wood veneer trim inlays, and punctuated by chrome trim accents. It rides on a set of 13-inch silver-painted steel wheels with polished hubcaps, shod in Michelin XAS tyres. The factory specification includes a two-spoke steering wheel, manually operated windows, push-out front and rear quarter light windows, and a Veglia Borletti tachometer. This 850 Coupe now features an Abarth exhaust system. The car will be supplied with a spare wheel, keys, and a handful of maintenance invoices. The Blu Scuro paintwork is reported to be in good overall condition, though the seller notes a small scuff behind the driver’s door, small dents on the front valance, and that the front bumper is slightly bent and tarnished. There is also a crack on the front valance, minor stone chips on the front of the car, cracks on the passenger-side rear quarter panel, and a few other minor blemishes, dents, and areas of pitting. Inside, the cabin is presented in generally good shape given the car’s age. The seller notes that the original rubber floor mats have perished. There are also cracks on the steering wheel, a blemish on the dashboard, patches of discolouration on the headlining and seats, and a few other minor imperfections around the trim. The seller is not aware of any mechanical faults with the car, though they do note that an additional starter button has been mounted under the dashboard due to an intermittent connection fault in the ignition barrel. This 850 Coupe’s most recent routine maintenance was carried out in 2022 by Mastertouch, which consisted of a new battery being fitted, new tyres, and an engine tune-up. Other notable maintenance includes the installation of the auxiliary starter button, and the drive belts and water pump being replaced. This Fiat 850 Coupe is a handsome example of the marque’s charismatic classic coupe, offered in smart, largely original condition. Presented with an appealing Blu Scuro finish, endearing styling, and an Abarth performance upgrade, it would make a solid addition to any classic collection, and a characterful companion for weekend drives and visits to classic car shows. The description of this auction lot is, to the best of the seller's knowledge, accurate and not misleading. Collecting Cars requests a range of detail about the lot from the seller, and performs a level of due diligence. However, bidders must satisfy themselves as to the accuracy of the description, and conduct any research they feel is necessary before committing to a bid.
