Seller's Notes

This Porsche 911 is a dramatically modified air-cooled sports car, transformed into the RWB ‘Porco Rosso’ with a wide-body Café Racer Kit personally fitted by Akira Nakai. It is powered by a 3.6-litre high-compression naturally aspirated flat-six engine with individual throttle bodies and velocity stacks, driving the rear wheels through a rebuilt five-speed 915 manual transmission with short ratios. This left-hand-drive 911 SC was originally supplied to North America. The Carfax report shows it was exported from California to Australia in 2008. The car was previously configured as a Targa road rally car before undergoing its RWB transformation, and is accompanied by a CAMS logbook showing its previous specification. The seller reports that this is the only example fitted with the now-discontinued RWB Café Racer Kit outside of Japan. The odometer is inoperative, so the car's total mileage is not warranted. The seller reports that it has covered fewer than 1,000 km since completion of the RWB build. Build year: 1983 Please note: it is each bidders responsibility to investigate whether this car can be legally road registered in their region or country. This 911 has been extensively modified, with the conversion centred around the RWB Café Racer wide-body kit fitted by Akira Nakai in November 2023, as documented in the photo gallery and in videos. The exterior has been refinished in red, while the stripped-out cabin features black carpets and trim cut to accommodate the roll cage. Its 3.6-litre high-compression engine features individual throttle bodies with velocity stacks and aftermarket headers. The five-speed 915 manual gearbox has been rebuilt and fitted with shorter ratios to improve acceleration. The chassis specification includes KW suspension and 930 Turbo brakes. It rides on official RWB wheels. The cabin has been reconfigured, incorporating a fully welded roll cage and 996-generation Porsche 911 GT3 carbon seats. The car is accompanied by one ignition key and the CAMS logbook relevant to its previous specification, which has been signed by Akira Nakai. As per other cars supplied to the USA, it has both a standardised factory VIN and a NHTSA-format VIN (shown in the sidebar). The Euro/RoW format chassis number is WP0ZZZ91ZDS120268, while the USA format chassis number is WP0AA0915DS120268. Please refer to the photo gallery to assess the exterior and interior condition. Specific notes from the seller include: the bodywork was stripped and resprayed prior to the RWB conversion. There are some general stone chips to the paintwork, including one near the rear engine lid. The seller reports that the general gauges function, though notes that the readings from the original instruments are not particularly accurate. The odometer is currently inoperative. The seller states that the car was most recently serviced in July 2026 by Purely Porscha. The Porsche 911 SC ‘Porco Rosso’ is an extensively modified air-cooled sports car, combining the unmistakable visual presence of an RWB Café Racer conversion with a highly focused mechanical specification. Personally fitted with its RWB body parts by Akira Nakai himself in November 2023, it also features a 3.6-litre high-compression engine, a rebuilt short-ratio 915 gearbox, KW suspension, 930 Turbo brakes, a welded roll cage, and 996 GT3 carbon seats. With its previous road-rally history adding further character, it should make an attention-grabbing addition to any collection.
