Seller's Notes

This Porsche 928 S3 is a timelessly specified example of the modern classic grand touring coupe, which has been used and maintained as intended by its long-term owner. It is powered by a naturally aspirated 5.0-litre V8, sending power to the rear wheels via a smooth-shifting four-speed automatic transmission. This Australian-delivered 928 S3 has an impressive service history and has been with its current and fourth owner for 14 years. The odometer shows 191,476 Kms from new. This 928 S3 is finished in the sleek hue of Silver Metallic over a dark grey leather-trimmed cabin with matching carpet. It rides on the correct set of 16-inch ‘flat disc’ alloy wheels, shod in Kuhmo Ecsta 4X II tyres. The specification includes pop-up headlights, ABS, headlight washers, an electric sunroof, a heated rear screen with wiper, air conditioning with basic climate control settings, cruise control, electric windows, and electrically adjustable front seats. A more modern Alpine CD stereo has been fitted in the cabin, along with Clarion speakers. The car will be supplied with its owner’s book pack, the service booklet, a selection of maintenance invoices, and the cargo cover and cargo net for the boot of the car. Please refer to the photo gallery to assess the exterior and interior condition. Specific notes from the seller include: a front-end chip was professionally repainted prior to my purchase. There are some small bonnet stone chips, a thin scratch on the driver’s side rear bumper, and a small rust spot by the boot. Inside, there is wear on the outer side of the driver’s seat, some scoring to the window tint on the driver’s side, and cracks in the dash beneath the dash mat. The seller notes that the indicator stalk occasionally doesn’t cancel from a right turn. This 928’s most recent maintenance was carried out in June 2023 at 191,088 km by Auto Exclusive in Perth. The work comprised of a major service with an engine oil and filter change, along with the replacement of the timing belt, tensioner, water pump, engine sump gasket, front crankshaft seal, oil pump seals, rocker cover gaskets, thermostat, spark plugs and the throttle body and engine mounts. The service cost the seller $9,102.95. Prior to this, the car was serviced in May 2022, which was an engine oil and filter change with an inspection, and in February 2021, which was an an engine oil and filter change, along with the replacement of the brake fluid and a general vehicle inspection. The seller notes that in February 2022 the air conditioning compressor was replaced, and during their ownership the ABS harness, fuel pump, air filter, headlight relay, heater hoses, upper control arms, rods, boots, power steering hoses, inner door handle, boot lock, and aerial were all replaced, and the heater and air conditioning control module repaired. This Porsche 928 S3 is a svelte ‘80s grand touring coupe, which boasts a powerful V8 and a smooth-shifting transmission for making swift yet comfortable progress over long distances. Recently treated to a major service, and c doted on by its current long-term owner, it would make a usable addition to a collection of modern classics, and is ready to serve once more as a refined weekend driver or long-distance tourer. The description of this consignment is, to the best of the seller’s knowledge, accurate and not misleading.
