Seller's Notes

This Porsche 911 Carrera is a highly sought-after and communicative classic sports car, in lightweight and driver-focused ‘Club Sport’ specification. It is powered by a naturally aspirated, air-cooled 3.2-litre flat-six, driving the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission. This 911 Carrera 3.2 Club Sport was originally delivered to Ireland in 1988 before being exported to Australia in 2009, where it is now offered for sale. It is said to be one of just 340 cars produced, of which just 53 were in right-hand-drive configuration. It has been with the seller for a reported 17 years. The odometer indicates 30,130 miles, though this is not warranted. Build year: 1988 As standard, the Club Sport model features a blueprinted engine which revs 300rpm higher than the standard unit thanks to hollow inlet valves, a higher rev limiter, and a modified air intake. While on paper the Club Sport’s 3.2-litre engine was rated at the same 231bhp as the standard Carrera, original Club Sport engines have reportedly been measured as producing over 240bhp. The sunroof, air-conditioning, electric windows, central locking, rear seats, rear wiper, door pocket lids, under-sealing, and sound insulation material were all removed by Porsche to save around 70kg of weight over the standard Carrera 3.2. The addition of Bilstein sport shock absorbers, Sport Equipment spoilers, a short-shift gear lever, and a limited-slip differential make the 3.2 CS a particularly engaging and highly sought-after classic Porsche. This example is finished in Grand Prix White with red ‘Carrera CS decals’ over a black cloth-trimmed cabin featuring ‘Porsche’-scripted seats. It rides on a set of 16-inch Fuchs alloy wheels with red ‘petals’, a polished lip, and Pirelli tyres. The original Blaupunkt radio has been replaced with a Porsche Classic Communication Management (PCCM) stereo which brings Apple CarPlay despite retaining classic styling and OEM equipment. A Pelican Parts front bumper air scoop has been fitted to assist with cooling, the original bumper insert will be provided to the buyer. Accompanying the sale is the owner’s book pack, service book, chassis enquiry letter, UK registration plates, a folder of invoices, spare wheel, toolkit, tyre inflator, two fire extinguishers, the original front bumper insert, two original PA1000 alarm remotes and the PA1000 master remote. 220: Locking differential 243: Shorter shift lever for G50 transmission 330: Cassette-radio Blaupunkt Toronto SQR 46 395: 16-inch Fuchs forged alloy wheels 419: Luggage compartment instead of rear seats 451: Reduced radio preparation 473: Front and rear spoiler 474: Sports shock absorbers 567: Top-tinted windscreen 637: Club Sport Please refer to the photo gallery to assess exterior and interior condition. Specific notes from the seller include: a stone chip under the left-hand headlight. The seller also notes that one of the remote buttons has ‘soft’ keys, which is a known PA1000 remote ageing issue. The bumpers and rear wings were resprayed in 2009 to repair stone chip damage. There is a valid WA registration in place, which expires on 13 August 2026. The most recent recorded service was carried out by marque specialist Autofarm in May 2009 at 26,862 miles, which included carrying out paintless dent removal on the nearside front wing, repairing the rear anti-roll bar chassis mounts, steam-cleaning the chassis, refixing the passenger door trim, and replacing the engine oil, oil filter, clutch, flywheel, wiper blades, rear anti-roll bar as well as drop links and bolts, rear flexi-brake hoses, brake fluid, and clutch flexi-hose. This example is one of just 53 right-hand-drive cars produced and is offered for sale from 17-year ownership as the culmination of a two-year search for the ideal example. It would now make a superb addition to any collection, and promises to attract plenty of interest at any number of owner’s club meets and automotive events.
