This 1988 MR2 is a lesser-seen supercharged variant of Toyota’s first-generation mid-engined roadster in desirable ‘T-top’ configuration. It is powered by the ‘4A-GZE’ 1.6-litre twin-cam inline-four supercharged engine, which sends 108kW and 190Nm of torque to the rear wheels via a five-speed manual transmission. The odometer shows 164,200 Km. The MR2 is finished in the timeless combination of white with grey cloth upholstery for the seat covers and door card inserts. It rides on 16-inch Rodney Jane Racing alloy wheels, fitted with Master Steel Pro-Sport front and BF Goodrich rear tyres. Equipment includes electric windows and air conditioning. This example has also been fitted with an Autotecnica sports steering wheel, dash-mounted digital boost gauge, alloy pedal covers, weighted alloy gear knob, and a double-DIN CD radio head unit.
