Seller's Notes
Made famous by its prodigious success in rally racing, the Lancia Delta HF Integrale 16V is a true modern classic, and this 1989 example is in superb order. It is powered by a 16-valve Lancia 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine with a Garrett T3 turbocharger and intercooler. A five-speed manual transmission handles shifting. This car benefits from conscientious care in the hands of just two owners and is an unusually low mileage example of the iconic Lancia. Put through compliance in late 1989 in Australia, the car was converted from left-hand drive to right-hand drive. There is also evidence that the engine was uprated from 200hp up to around 300hp, with parts from Mike Spence Motorsport. Ordered with ABS, rear fog lights, comfort seats, and sunroof. The rear wing will also be included with the car, but is not currently installed. It has been maintained in good original condition and the factory configuration. Sold with its original manual, stamped service book, tools, receipts and a folder of extensive records. The Lancia has never suffered any damage, and panels are straight and fit well. Exterior trims including lights, grilles, wheels, skirts and bumpers are in similarly good condition, with badges showing only very minor wear. Its factory-applied ‘Bianca’ paintwork is in excellent condition for its age, with no major marks or blemishes. This car features Alcantara with diagonal stripe fabric upholstery, and it remains remarkably original and in great shape throughout. In genuine ‘time warp’ condition, even the plastic protection over the door panel trims is still in place. Treated to regular, well-documented servicing, the car is mechanically sound and displays no warning lights or faults with switches or electronics. Meridian Motor Co. serviced the car ahead of listing at 34,000 km, also repairing the master cylinder. Prior to this, regular oil and filter changes have been conducted during the seller’s ownership. While the Delta is a more modest machine, the HF Integrale was brought in to meet homologation requirements for Group A rally and touring car racing, and is an icon of late ‘80s performance cars. This 1989 Lancia Delta HF Integrale 16V is a superb example of the breed, ready to delight its next owner with a thoroughly analogue driving experience, and catch the attention of passers-by wherever it goes. The description of this auction lot is, to the best of the seller's knowledge, accurate and not misleading.
