Seller's Notes

This S500 is a well-preserved example of Mercedes’ luxury saloon car, boasting relatively low mileage from new and a timeless specification. It is powered by a 5.0-litre naturally aspirated V8, developing around 240kW / 322bhp which is sent to the rear wheels via a five-speed automatic transmission. The car was in single ownership for 25 years, and has only been acquired by the current keeper in order to assist with the sale. The odometer shows 97,054 kilometres (60,307 miles) from new. This S500 was specified with Brilliant Silver Metallic paintwork, over a grey leather-trimmed interior which has been accented with burr walnut trims on the dash and doors. It rides on a set of 16-inch six-spoke alloy wheels. Factory equipment includes electrically adjustable heated front seats with three position memory settings, dual-zone climate control with rear vents, electrically adjustable door mirrors, electric windows, cruise control, and an electric sliding sunroof. This example is also fitted with a Bose sound system, soft-close doors, and laminated glass which also features a dark tint on the windows. Its original owner’s manuals, stamped service book and two keys will be included. The seller is not aware of any impact damage present on the bodywork. The Brilliant Silver Metallic paintwork is said to be in generally very good condition, and is believed to be original. There is some scuffing on the front and rear bumpers, but no significant damage. Inside, the cabin presents very well for the age and mileage of the car. There is some creasing on the grey leather with more present on the driver’s seat, but with no major wear. The seller is not aware of any electrical or mechanical faults, and they state that there are no warning lights showing on the dashboard. The latest service was carried out during January 2022. The work comprised of a routine maintenance service with an engine oil and filter change. Prior to this, the car was serviced in January 2020 which was a B service by Diesel Motors Mercedes, and during October 2019 which was another routine service. The seller reports that the car has been serviced to OEM requirements. This Mercedes-Benz S500 is a well-preserved example of the 1990s luxury saloon, which was in single ownership for 25 years. The car is in impressive cosmetic condition for its age, benefits from a recent service, and it is ready for use as a cosseting long-distance cruiser or a comfortable weekend tourer.
