Seller's Notes

This W140-generation Mercedes-Benz S600L is a low-mileage example of the luxurious and powerful long-wheelbase flagship sedan, with interesting provenance. Under the bonnet sits a naturally aspirated 6.0-litre V12, delivering around 290kW to the rear wheels via a five-speed automatic transmission. Delivered by Canberra Star Motors on 13 August 1998, it was initially used by the Embassy of Saudi Arabia, as documented in the original three-year owner protection plan. Later, the vehicle became part of the Squarcini Car Collectibles collection in Perth. It remained on display in a showroom until February of this year, when it was serviced and returned to the road. The odometer shows 26,014 km. Build year: 1998 Please note: this car remains unregistered and unlicensed. This S600L is finished in black, over a two-tone black and grey leather-trimmed interior, punctuated by wood veneer trim. It rides on a set of 16-inch six-spoke alloy wheels, fitted with Michelin Energy MXV4 tyres. Equipment includes headlamp washers and wipers, cruise control, automatic climate control, adaptive dampers, electrically adjustable and heated multi-contour front seats with three-position memory, electrically adjustable rear seats, rear illuminated vanity mirrors, an electric tilt/slide sunroof, the Parktronic system, a cassette stereo and CD changer, and a fire extinguisher. The car will be supplied with its owner’s manual, service book, pre-delivery checklist and protection plan documents. One ignition key will be supplied. Please refer to the photo gallery to assess the exterior and interior condition. Specific notes from the seller include: the fuel gauge reads empty even though the tank is full. This S600L’s most recent service was completed in February 2025 at around 25,000 km by G-Spec. Prior to this, a service was completed by Canberra Star Motors Mercedes-Benz in July 2000 at 8,775 km. The pre-delivery inspection was completed in July 1998. This W140-generation Mercedes-Benz S600L is a low-mileage example of the luxurious and powerful long-wheelbase flagship sedan, originally used by the Embassy of Saudi Arabia, before becoming part of the Squarcini Car Collectibles collection in Perth. Recently serviced, it would make a charismatic companion for retro daily driving, weekend cruises, and longer-distance road trips alike.
