Seller's Notes

A very good example of Alfa Romeo’s beautiful Pininfarina-designed GTV, boasting a few discreet upgrades. Under the bonnet sits the legendary 220bhp 3.0-litre 24-valve naturally aspirated ‘Busso’ V6, driving the front wheels through an upgraded six-speed manual gearbox with Q2 limited-slip differential. This well-looked-after GTV has had only two owners from new, and is offered fresh from a recent major service, including replacement clutch, differential, timing belt and adjustable front and rear suspension struts. This GTV is finished in black over a red leather interior, featuring pleated Momo-designed, Alfa Romeo-crested seats. It rides on a set of correct 17-inch ‘Teledial’ alloy wheels, housing red Brembo callipers over drilled and grooved brake discs. The specification includes air conditioning, front and rear fog lights, an Alpine Bluetooth stereo with CD player, and electric windows and mirrors. A replacement six-speed manual gearbox has been installed, as well as a ‘Q2’ Alfa Romeo limited-slip differential. The car is also accompanied by the original owner’s manual and service book, space-saver spare wheel and spare full-size ‘Teledial’ alloy wheel, documentation for the stereo, numerous invoices, and two keys. There is no known bodywork damage. The bonnet and passenger-side door were resprayed approximately two months ago to correct parking dents. The black paintwork is reported to be in generally excellent condition, as documented by the photo gallery below. The red leather interior presents well, with only minor imperfections commensurate with the age and mileage of the vehicle. This includes some wear and creasing to the front seats, and signs of use on the gear knob, handbrake and steering wheel. No mechanical or electrical faults are known. The owner reports that the driver’s door seal is aged, and that a replacement seal will be provided. Additionally, a new tyre is on order as the tyre currently on the space-saver spare wheel is damaged. The most recent roadworthiness test was on 22 February 2021, when a clean first-time pass was recorded. The car was most recently serviced in April 2021 at 177,455 kilometres, when Frank’s Pitstop Motors replaced the clutch, differential, timing belt, water pump, rocker cover gasket, cam cover gasket and engine drive belt, and installed Koni Sports adjustable front and rear suspension struts. A four-wheel alignment was then performed. Prior to this, Frank’s Pitstop Motors performed a service on the car in February 2021 at 176,703 kilometres, which included replacing the engine oil and filter, and attending to the nearside front seat and electric aerial mechanisms. Previously, a service was carried out in November 2018 at 169,136 kilometres, also by Frank’s Pitstop Motors. Other work performed during current ownership includes replacement of the door locks, installation of front and rear dimpled brake discs and pads, and the addition of uprated headlight bulbs. Fresh from a major service, this evidently well-cared-for, two-owner GTV promises to delight each time the sonorous V6 bursts into life.
