Seller's Notes

A highly capable and rare long-wheelbase W461-series 4x4 utility vehicle, this Mercedes-Benz G300 Professional is reported to be one of just six specially-configured examples made available to the Australian public in 2014 from the same order batch as those supplied to the Australian Defence Force. It is powered by a 3.0-litre turbocharged ‘OM642’ V6 diesel engine, driving all four wheels via a five-speed automatic transmission. This example features a 400mm extended body for a significantly larger cargo bay or the potential to re-install the original six-seat configuration. The engine was reportedly replaced at approximately 200,000 kilometres, and the gearbox was reportedly rebuilt around 30,000 kilometres ago. The odometer indicates approximately 254,100 km, though this is not warranted. Build year: 2014 This G300 Professional was originally ordered in a rare extended-body configuration with twin rear cargo doors—factory features seen only on this limited batch of six vehicles delivered to the public. This example is finished in the utilitarian shade of Sand over a black leatherette and cloth-trimmed interior. It rides on a set of 16-inch five-spoke alloy wheels finished in satin-black, fitted with 285/75/16 BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A tyres. Equipment includes headlamp and front indicator protection grilles, a high- and low-range gearbox, three locking differentials, a wrap-around brush guard/bull bar that continues around the front wings and into the side steps, front and rear mudflaps, a reinforced ‘walk-on’ bonnet, and secondary manual rear air conditioning. This example has been fitted with a full-length roof rack with awning, a snorkel, 140L long-range fuel tank, a Sony stereo with USB input, a GME TX3500 radio, a Digitech ‘4-in-1’ DC socket set, and a secondary rear air-conditioning unit. It has been engineered in New South Wales for six-passenger use, though the two rear seats are currently removed to maximise cargo space. The vehicle is accompanied by the owner’s manuals in a black leather wallet and the original service booklet, showing the most recent service and basic notes on earlier maintenance. One ignition key is included. Please refer to the photo gallery to assess the exterior and interior condition. Specific notes from the seller include: a small compression on the rear left-hand cargo door from being closed, and the brush bars, bull bar, and side steps have wear and pitting from outback use. There are also minor blemishes in the paintwork at some seams, and wear in the cargo bay and rear door interior. Inside, the driver’s seat shows wear from regular ingress and egress. The centre console has marks near the driver’s leg area, the dashboard has wear and tear, and the steering wheel is worn. The seller notes that the fuel gauge is not currently reading accurately. The most recent eSafety inspection in New South Wales was passed on 30 October 2025 without any advisories. This G300’s most recent routine maintenance was carried out in October 2025 at an indicated 254,004 km by Mercedes-Benz specialist Byron Prestige Motors, comprising an engine oil and filter change, brake fluid flush, along with a general inspection. This W461-generation Mercedes-Benz G300 Professional CDI is a rare and rugged extended-body utility vehicle, derived directly from a unique Defence Force specification and engineered for high-capability off-road work or remote touring. With its dependable diesel powertrain, factory locking differentials, and a few practical upgrades, it offers a compelling alternative to more common 4WD wagons. For those seeking a utilitarian adventure rig or a hard-wearing fleet icon, this G-Wagen is a serious contender.
