M2 (2016 to Present)

first introduced in 2016 as the most compact and driver-focused model in BMW’s modern M lineup. Built on the F87 2 Series platform, the M2 was developed to revive the classic BMW M formula of a short wheelbase, rear-wheel drive, and turbocharged inline-six power, offered with both manual and dual-clutch transmissions. Early models featured the N55 engine, while later Competition and CS variants adopted the more powerful S55 engine, along with wider bodywork, uprated suspension, and enhanced braking. Values in the BMW M2 market are driven by variant, transmission choice, mileage, condition, and originality, with manual cars, Competition models, and limited-production CS examples commanding the strongest premiums.
