F80 (2015 to 2018)

Launched for the 2015 model year, the BMW F80 M3 marked a turning point for the nameplate, becoming the first turbocharged M3 and the first to use a dedicated M chassis code separate from the standard 3 Series. Offered exclusively as a sedan following the split of the coupe into the M4 line, the F80 was powered by BMW M’s S55 3.0-litre twin-turbo inline-six, delivering a significant jump in torque and everyday performance while retaining rear-wheel drive and offering both manual and dual-clutch transmissions.
