About the HSV GTS

The HSV GTS stands as the definitive high-performance flagship of the Australian-made Holden Special Vehicles range, spanning a production life from 1992 through to the final Zeta-platform cars in 2017. Over its multi-decade evolution, it transformed from a 200 kW "stroker" V8 into a world-class super-sedan, peaking with the Gen-F series and its monumental 430 kW supercharged LSA powerplant. In the current Australian market, the GTS represents a premier blue-chip investment, with a massive buyer pool that values its superior hardware, such as the sophisticated Magnetic Ride Control and massive six-piston brakes, which set it above the more common ClubSport. Desirability is at an all-time high for the limited-run VR and VS models that pioneered the "stroker" heritage, as well as the final VFII examples that marked the end of an era. Because the GTS was always the most advanced and powerful model in the regular HSV stable, well-documented survivors in hero colours like "Tiger Gold" or "Spitfire Green" maintain a formidable market value, cementing their status as essential pieces for any serious local collection.
