X (2008 to 2016)

Introduced for the 2008 model year, the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X was the tenth and final Evolution, marking the end of Mitsubishi’s rally-bred performance sedan lineage. Built on an all-new platform, the Evo X was powered by the 4B11T 2.0-litre turbocharged inline-four, paired with a sophisticated all-wheel-drive system and offered with both manual and twin-clutch transmissions, delivering a more refined yet still highly capable driving experience compared to earlier Evos. While global markets saw a wide spread of trims and special editions, the core formula remained intact throughout its long production run, which lasted until 2016, making it the longest-produced Evolution generation. Total Evo X production is estimated at approximately 40,000–45,000 cars worldwide, a significant share of overall Evo output. In the Australian market, the Evo X was officially sold and remains one of the most common Evolutions locally, with values today driven by manual transmission preference, Final Edition specification, mileage, condition, and originality, as buyers increasingly view it as the last chapter of a legendary performance nameplate rather than just a modern used sports sedan.
