MARKET ANALYSIS
GT3 RS (2015 to 2016)

Unveiled at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, the Porsche 911 GT3 RS (991.1) represented the most extreme road-going expression of the early 991 platform, pushing the RS formula further toward motorsport than ever before. Visually distinguished by louvred front guards, Turbo-derived rear air intakes, and aggressive aerodynamic detailing, the 991.1 GT3 RS replaced the standard GT3’s 3.8-litre engine with a 4.0-litre naturally aspirated flat-six producing 500 PS (493 hp) and 460 Nm of torque, paired exclusively with a PDK transmission. Performance was ferocious, with 0–100 km/h in 3.3 seconds and a strong focus on track capability rather than everyday comfort. Production is widely reported at approximately 1,800 units worldwide, making it a genuinely low-volume modern RS. In the Australian market, the 991.1 GT3 RS is extremely scarce, with limited official deliveries and strong demand driven by its status as one of the last high-revving, naturally aspirated RS models before increasing electrification and turbocharging elsewhere in the range. Values are driven by originality, mileage, specification, and provenance, with low-kilometre, unmodified examples firmly positioned among the most desirable modern Porsche RS cars globally.
